Golden Rings of Ownership
The folden ring is reserved for the owner(s) of house Amber, i.e. Alias & Sadira. They answer to no one, determine the (strategic) courses of action for the house, and are allowed access in all rooms at any time.
Those with the Ring of Ownership can grant any other kind of ring to individuals, without the need to obtain permission from anybody else.

The Electrum Ring of Leadership
The Electrum ring is reserved for compagnons of House Amber and the leasders of emporia. At the moment, only Drembl is wearing one. The wearer of an electrum ring is master of his or her emporium, and is responsible for profit, wages and genereal wellbeiing of his people. The only responsiblility to House Amber is that they give 50% of their jearly profits to House Amber. The remainder can be spent or invested as they wearer sees fit, as long as it benefits the house, be it directly or indirectly.
A wearer of the electrum ring can grant Iron, Obsidian and Bone rings to those in employ of his emporia, and can recommend others for a Silver Ring of Trust.

The Silver Ring of Trust
Silver Rings are for trustees of wearers of either Gold or Electrum Rings. They pass orders of their masters to the rest of the house and lead the house when the master is absent. Leaders of outposts also wear Silver Rings.
Wearers of the Silver Ring are responible for the daily traffic in the building in which they are stationed. They can recommend others for an Iron, Obsidian and Bone Rings.

The Obsidian Guard Ring
The Obsidian Ring is for the Captain of the Guard, and for Caravan Captains. They are responsible for the safety of the building or caravan they lead. They are of the same rank as those with Iron rings.

The Iron Caravan Rings
The Iron Ring is for Senior Trade-Leaders. They are in command of the caravan when it reaches the destination. They decide the buy-and-sell until the caravan is back home. During the trip, the caravan-captain is in charge.

The Bone Ring of Agents
Each agent of House Amber owns a bine ring of agentship, even those with higher rings. This is in case they do not wish to show their expensive rings, but still want to idetify themselves as being in employ of House Amber.
